Perfect getaway destination! Stayed over the long weekend and couldn't be happier. Charming inn with shared amenities; bathrooms, full kitchen, den with woodburning stove, and dining areas; and cozy rooms with beds that are right in that Goldilocks zone of not too soft and not too hard. Pet friendly facility and guests for my drama queen GS. Helpful staff has great recommendations for food and fun. Oh and it should be mentioned: Ample parking day or night. Alas, no 'howdy neighbor' uttered, but the other guests are considerate and friendly and seem to be regulars, so another source of information and entertainment. 10/10 will frequent again.

I have absolutely wonderful things to say about the Rooster Comb Inn! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed and at ease. Nestled in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains, the inn is the perfect combination of rustic charm and peaceful seclusion. We stayed in the tiny house cabin, and it was truly magical—cozy, thoughtfully designed, and surrounded by natural beauty. Waking up to the quiet of the woods and the fresh mountain air was a dream.

Every detail of the Rooster Comb Inn felt intentional and heartfelt, from the warm hospitality to the beautifully maintained grounds. The location is ideal for hiking, exploring nearby trails, or simply relaxing and soaking in the serenity of the Adirondacks. It was a peaceful and joyous weekend that left us feeling refreshed and reconnected to nature. I can’t recommend this place enough—whether you’re looking for adventure or just a quiet retreat, the Rooster Comb Inn is a gem!

The Rooster Comb Inn is a special place to stay. Its incredibly clean, perfectly located and the warm welcome by Magdalena just makes it the only place in Keene to stay. You won't be disappointed.

I was fortunate to find this place to spend a night before hiking in the morning. I have nothing but positive things to say. I enjoyed my stay as brief as it was. This will be my favorite for future trips to ADK. Thank you!!

“Can’t say enough good things about RoosterComb Inn. Comfortable, clean, convenient. And so many nice little amenities, from tasteful Adirondack decor, to comfortable lounge chairs, plenty of warm, soft blankets, fluffy towels, wood burning stove, coffee and tea supplies, complete kitchen, pet friendly….they even have a supply of poop bags for dogs! “

“A fantastic place to stay, in the heart of Keene Valley. It was immediately obvious that the innkeepers take great care of the space.”

“From the welcome white board with everyone’s name & room on it to the quaint & cozy rooms, this is a great place to snuggle in & be center to many things in the area to adventure to. Recommend highly.”

“Great Inn – nicest people you’ll ever meet”

We stayed at Rooster Comb Inn as part of our Ironman Lake Placid trip in July. We were greeted by a large banner when we arrived, were treated like family members, and even went on a nice run in the pine woods with our host. Evenings were pleasant around the outside fire pit, telling stories and watching the sun go down behind Rooster Comb mountain. The rooms were beautiful, the furniture hand made by the host, and it felt like home. We could not have been more pleased with our stay, and have already booked for next year.

“Our favorite High Peaks Lodging”

This was our third time staying at the RoosterComb Inn, for a total of 4 nights altogether. We stayed in July 2011, December 2011 and January 2012. For us it’s perfect, reasonably priced, communal kitchen, and we can book 1 night on a weekend (some places only accept 2 nights). As others have noted, it’s well furnished, clean and the owner is pleasant, accommodating and fun to chat with. We love having kitchen facilities to use as we save money preparing our own meals and find it relaxing to do after a day of hiking.

There’s a small grocery store a minute away for picking up meal items, with an excellent meat department. The meat is local, and good quality.

Over the years we’ve stayed at more than 15 different B&B’s, Hotels, motels, Inns, Hostels, etc. in the area, and this is the one we like best.

“Great Getaway!”

Stayed here one night after a long week of camping. We booked the suite with its own bathroom and what a value! Great location right in Keene Valley with trails, food and shops all within walking distance in this quaint little town. The rooms were clean, comfy beds and beautiful furniture. Self serve kitchen was clean and convenient. We had the place to ourselves so I can’t comment on noise, because it was quiet for us! Our friendly host was happy to offer lots of info and suggestions about the area. Beautiful handmade furniture is made here as well. Wish I had the extra cash and room to take some home! Memorable stay and well worth the price! Will visit again!
